MY FAVORITE CREATIONS! ENJOY!

TOO HOT TO HANDLE?
My god. Is it hot or is it hot? Or should I say, is it humid or is it humid? Either way, here's a few drink recipes that may help cool you off (and replace some much needed electrolytes). I've put together a bunch of smoothie ingredients ahead of time and stuck them in the freezer. I haven't tried them all yet but these are the ones I've tried so far and absolutely love. Enjoy!
FAUX SPRITE
2 bottles seltzer water
2 lemons
2 limes
Stevia to taste ( I usually use about 60 drops)
Mix all and enjoy
HONEYDEW SMOOTHIE
1 Cup frozen honeydew melon
1 tbsp. brown rice protein powder, vanilla (Or any other healthy vanilla protein powder)
1/8 tsp mint extract
1 banana
Blend all in blender and enjoy!
PEACHES AND CREAM SMOOTHIE
1 frozen peach
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp. vanilla brown rice protein powder (Or any other healthy vanilla protein powder)
vanilla to taste
Blend all in blender and enjoy!

CINCO DE MAYO!
Well I may have been too late posting this for Cinco De Mayo unless you have all the ingredients on hand already, but these recipes are great for anytime! Margarita, Pineapple "Ice Cream", and Salsa. ENJOY!!!
SNEAKY "MARGARTITA"
Seltzer Water
1 lime
Stevia to to taste
Fill glass with selter water and ice, and the juice of a lemon and Stevia to taste. Enjoy! Add a small drop of mint if desired, or a mint leaf.
SALSA
8 tomatoes chopped or sliced
1 sweet onion chopped or sliced
8 jalapenos (more or less depending on your liking)
8 leaves basil, chopped
3/4 bunch cilantro, chopped
1/3 cup olive oil
Crushed garlic to taste....I use LOTS!
Salt to taste (Sea Salt or Himalayan)
Italian seasoning
Mix all ingredients listed above, let sit for at least 20 minutes and enjoy!
PINEAPPLE ICE CREAM
1 frozen banana
small chunk of pineapple to taste, I used a chunk about the size of my thumb
1 tbsp. brown rice vanilla protein powder (I would imagine you could just use vanilla extract, too - but I use the protein powder to balance out the G.I.)
a sprinkle of unsweetened shredded coconut
Put banana, protein powder, and pineapple in blender, blend until smooth. Pour into bowl and sprinkle coconut on top. Delish!!

FAUX SHAMROCK SHAKE
Driving and seeing a McDonald's every 5 minutes I'm sure you know that Shamrock Shakes are out! But wait! You CAN indulge in that great taste WITHOUT whatever the hell it is they put in those things. Don't let the spinach scare you off - you can't even taste it.
Recipe
1 frozen banana
3 cups spinach
vanilla stevia to taste (I used about 10 drops)
mint extract to taste (I like just a hint of mint, so I used 1/8 tsp.)
*If you don't like your shake as thick as I do, you can add some water or coconut/almond milk to get the consistency you want. Just add a little at a time and blend until it's to your desired consistency and it really won't change the flavor. I made 3 different shakes to test - one with one cup water, one with one cup milk, and one without any added liquid at all and they all tasted the same. My personal preference in terms of consistency is no extra liquid :-) *
Put all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Simple and tasty, and perfect post run fuel! I'm thinking tomorrow I might add a tablespoon of chia seeds to the mix, just for the added health benefits. Enjoy, and let me know what you think of the taste!
